What is in a cigarette?
Answered By Editor
Most people would answer "nictine," but the
reality is your body it getting much more
than nicotine when you smoke a cigarette.
The fact is, there are more than 4,000
chemicals in cigarette smoke. Some of those
same chemicals are also found in rat poison,
the insect poison DDT, arsenic, nail polish
remover and wood varnish.
The ashes, tar, gases, and other toxins in
cigarettes damage your heart and lungs. They
also make it harder to taste and smell things
and to fight infections.
