Thus, a person addicted to heroin is driven to have more heroin. A heroin addict will often lie, cheat or steal in order to find their next high. People addicted to heroin usually have a difficult time staying in relationships, and end up pushing away or losing those most important to them. They find it difficult to function in daily life and may find themselves in deep debt due to their addiction and inablity to function.
