Addiction Feedback: what kind of addictions are there? it’s not only drugs, you can be addicted to tv, computer, or persons as well.. i think you should consider that too.
Addiction Feedback: Write something about physical versus psychological dependence. For example, a heroin addict’s body will actually become physically dependent on the drug after using it for a long enough period of time. If they abruptly stop taking it they could become sick or even die. Cocaine on the other hand, while it isn’t physically addictive, it is extremely psychologically addictive so people will do just about anything to get another fix.
You might also include something in your treatment section about depression. Often, people who are addicted to drugs or alcohol have depression or underlying mental problems. They are essentially “self-medicating” the problem. If they get into a treatment to deal with the underlying problems (ie. could be abuse in the past, depression, or any number of things) then they stand a much better chance to stay clean.
